Zanshin Karate Kan is affiliated to the United Kingdom Seiki Juku Karate Organisation (UKSKO) founded in the late 1970s and is one of the largest member groups within the English Karate (EKF) Governing Body.

The EKF is recognised as the official governing body for English Karate by the British Karate Federation, European Karate Federation and World Karate Federation.

Students learning a Martial Art must be registered with a governing body and having their own licence meets this requirement. A licence also provides insurance and guarantees grading authenticity.
